- DJ bQ founded Storytellas crew in 1993 and as youngsters, they made an important impact on the Chicago hip-hop scene of the day with a series of famously renowned parties - most notably: "Storytellas Present: Chapter 1 the Untold Story" (at Yo Mama's Cafe June 22nd 1996). After high school, basketQASE became an accomplished student of jazz theory and the upright bass.. you can definitely hear the jazz influence in his beats! When you need a hit of dope music, I suggest that you check out DJ basketQASE. He hosts basketQASE Soundscapes at LOKAL (1904 W. North Ave) every second and fourth Thursday.
